The Extended Festival (FEX) will generously complete the artistic offer with concerts, dance, music of the world, shows, poetry recitals, etc. both in the city and in the municipalities of the Province. A feature of these activities is the large number devoted to the population at risk of social exclusion for socioeconomic and cultural, physical and psychiatric reasons. In this context we will be presenting the Colombian group El Colegio del Cuerpo, an outstanding example of the struggle against exclusion, with various dance programmes aimed at young people. Their presence at the Festival symbolises, as is the case of the Venezuelan orchestra which opens the Festival, the power of culture as an instrument for social change. In this context, there will also be a series of Dialogues concerning the 2010 European Year mentioned at the start, information of which will also be provided in this leaflet.
We hope that you will take part in these activities in the palaces and gardens of the Alhambra, in the ancient and modern sites of historical and contemporary Granada.
